Ranita Das or Ronita Das is an Indian Bangla television actress. She has appeared in TV shows like Ishti Kutum on Star Jalsha. Her character ‘Baha‘ in that became very popular at that time. She also appeared in other shows like ‘Nachbe Radha’ and ‘Dhanni Meye’, ‘Sohagi Sindoor’ and received Star Jalsha Best Actor Award. She was also seen in the Color Bangla’s mega series ‘Mahaprabhu Shree Chaitanya’ as Goddess Paravathi and her real life partner Souptik Chakraborty acted as as Lord Shiva.

Ranita Das and Souptik Chakraborty were banned from the industry around 2015 for quitting acting together which is against their contract. Star Jalsa TV filed a case against her for her unprofessional attitude. But Ranita said that she had spine and thyroid problems at that time. She could not stand the pain in her spine and she was gaining weight too much. Due to this Souptik had to produce his own movies and Ranita’s career was also quite damaged for a while. However Ranita Das has finally returned to the big screen. On the other hand Souptik is now being employed in the management and production department.
