Mekapati Goutham Reddy was an Indian politician from the YSR Congress Party. He was the Minister of Information Technology, Industrial and Commerce Skill Development and Training in the Government of Andhra Pradesh in India.
He is also a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing Atmakur (Nellore district) for the second time consecutively. He won as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Atmakur constituency in both the 2014 and 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections.

Goutham Reddy came from a political family; his father, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, was a senior politician and a former Member of Parliament (MP). Gowtham entered into politics in 2014 as a candidate for the YSRCP’s Atmakur Assembly Constituency of Nellore District. After winning the elections, he was appointed as the Minister of Information Technology in 2019.
Though Goutham Reddy was active on social media, it solely incorporated details about his working projects and a brief spotlight on his political profession. Not much of his personal details and about his family were known to the public. However, according to the sources, He was married with two kids. His wife’s name is Srikrithi, his Son (Arjun Reddy), and a Daughter (Ananya Reddy).
Cause of Death:
Mekapati Goutham Reddy Died on 21 February 2022 at the age of 50. Goutham returned to India after a week-long trip to Dubai and was getting ready to go to the gym. Then he collapsed on the sofa at home with chest pain and was rushed to Apollo Hospital by his family and gunmen.
Doctors at the Appolo Hospital declared that he was brought dead to the hospital. Though they tried their best, it was of no use. Goutham was a fitness freak and used to do exercises regularly with a proper diet. It was very sad that he passed away at just 50.
