Shantini Theva or Shanthini Deva is a Malaysian Citizen of Indian Origin who works in Indian Film Industry (Tamil). She made her Acting Debut with the movie Nadodigal in the year 2009 with Sasikumar. She worked in films likes ‘2G Spectrum’,’ Nadodigal’ and ‘PUBG (Polladha Ulagil Bayangara Game)’. Before coming to the Film Industry she was working at Tourism Malaysia as South India Ambassador.
Shantini Theva made into headlines after she accused the Former AIADMK Minister Manikandan of Impregnating her and Forced Abortion. Shantini complained that the politician made her pregnant several times on the pretext of marriage and forced her to have an abortion. Shantini Theva alleged that the minister threatened to kill her and leak her private picutres if she made public about their illicit affair.

Shantini was introduced to Manikandan in 2017 when she was working for the Malaysian Tourism Development Corporation and he was the Information Technolgy (IT) Minister. Then he developed friendship with her on the pretext of investing in Malaysia and doing business together. But soon he proposed her and even divorced his wife to be with the actress.
In her complaint, Shantini Theva has alleged that they were in a relationship for five years and they stayed and travelled together in Delhi and Chennai and his aides were aware of the relationship. She alleged that she had become pregnant three times and was forced by him to abort, saying that they could have a baby after a formal marriage.
Shanthini shared chats, documents, photographs and the proofs of him sending private pics taken without her knowledge and threatening to leak them. She alleged that he had threatened her and her family members in Malaysia when she insisted on him marrying.
