His journey with LEGO has started when he was a little boy at the age of 6. He had received his first ever set (the 2008 LEGO Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase set) as a graduation gift for his swimming class. The set came with 3 minifigures and 2 motorcycles. While putting the set together with his dad, he had instantly fell in love with LEGO, and have become a fan since then. He started collecting sets first, gradually he had been drawn into making his own custom creations. He uploaded a video of his first ever design to YouTube in 2015. It was a house. Since then, he has been passionate about building MOCs to this day. Fortunately, he is blessed to have a supportive family who enjoy hearing and learning about his passion.
He said as his own collection of parts is somewhat limited, he had to take apart his old creations so he can use the parts for new projects. So, he has to go through the painful process of disorganization every time while building a new thing. He said that he builds physically without any blueprint. He starts with an idea and formulate a straightforward plan. Then he would look at his parts to figure out how should he utilize them. He starts by building the foundation, which is what the MOC (My Own Creations) will eventually be built entirely upon. And he lets his imagination roam and his creativity drive him.
TD Bricks said that a good tip for any builder is stick to their imagination and always be searching for new ways to improve the build. We should think outside the box if we run out of a certain part, we should be willing to improvise and figure out an alternative way to build something. Because, staying true to your creativity will allow you to become a better builder in the long run.
