Trey Hardesty James is a co-founder and the CEO of the career development and assessment firm CareerFitter which he founded along with his partner, David White. He held numerous sales and marketing positions for many business organizations, mainly including Texas Instruments and MCI Communications. Unlike many spoiled kids that Hollywood produces very often, he busted the stereotype and became a successful entrepreneur. He also got a degree in Business administration from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in arts from the University of Texas in Austin.

Trey Hardesty James’ father Rick James was born on February 1st, 1948, as James Ambrose Johnson Jr. in Buffalo, New York. He started playing music in several bands since as a teenager and had a long and fruitful career. In 1964 Rick relocated to Toronto, Canada where he founded the rock band “Mynah Birds”. It gained popularity soon and in 1966, got a recording contract with Motown Records. But sadly, James was caught by military authorities as he was found guilty and given a one-year prison term for evading the US Navy. Later, Rick relocated again to California after his release from prison, where he relaunched his musical career.
Rick James has contributed his part to American music with his songs like Super Freak, Cold Blooded, 69 Times, and You and I. Also with his albums like Come Get It!, Street Songs, Fire It Up, and Reflections.
