Souptik Chakraborty is a Bengali Serial Actor known for Black Coffee(2017), Hemanta(2016) and The Nagorik(2014). He is the husband of Ranita Das. They have been in a relationship for over a decade now. Actor Souptik even became a director recently. He made his directorial debut with the webseries named ‘Khela Shuru’ on the ‘Click’ OTT platform. And his wife Ranita Das was the heroine in that series. Even the couple acted together in a serial named ‘Mahaprabhu Shree Chaitanya‘ as Shiva and Parvathi.

Souptik debuted in the Tollywood (Bengali) industry after into serials with “ShoppingMall.com” (2015) film which was directed by Sapan Saha. His character ‘Neel’ in the Bengali TV Show ‘Jol Nupur’ which was aired on Star Jalsha in 2012 made him closer to the audience. In 2016, he appeared as Dipto (the male lead) in ‘Sohaagi Sindoor’ for Colors Bangla brought him fame.
Ranita Das and Souptik Chakraborty were banned from the industry around 2015 for quitting acting together from a serial suddenly which is against their contract. Later the actress explained it’s because of her health reasons. They both lost many projects after that as no one had shown interest to work with them which forced Souptik to self produce his projects.
After that he left Kolkata and went to Delhi and did a course on management. Then he spent three years in Mumbai and the actor returned to his home state after the announcement of the lockdown. He started the webseries “Khela Shuru” under his direction. In this horror thriller, Ranita’s character name is Shrestha and the story is about Abhishek (Indrashis Roy)-Shrestha. But not only love, this 9-episode web series also has some ghostly secrets.
